A favorite winter drink “boiled wine” is originally from Scandinavia, where it is known as the Hawthorn (grog). Traditionally, it is made of black wine or vodka with spices (cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and clove). This is one of the most popular drinks in Scandinavia that is most commonly consumed during Advent or pre-Christmas time or during the Saint Lucia holiday with Christmas biscuits, and other kind of biscuits.
Try boiled wine in the Scandinavian fashion-just add chopped and peeled almonds and raisins to the wine.
