History of the Dutch empire of Keune hair cosmetics

A small pharmacy in downtown Amsterdam in 1922 set off the most famous Dutch empire of hair care cosmetics.
We all know Dutch symbols: gaudy cheese, windmills, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Mondrian and tulips. Keune should be added to the Dutch manufacturer of hair care cosmetics, although the fashion and cosmetics industries are not the primary business in the Netherlands. Keune is recognized worldwide for its black and silver design. The company was founded by chemist Jan Keune in 1922. It was a charming little pharmacy on a narrow street in the heart of Amsterdam. There was a workshop in the yard where Jan Keune was constantly experimenting. A permanent emulsion emulsion emerged from his test tube in 1923. The Netherlands has become the world’s first producer of chemicals for hot, permanent hair. Until the past twenty years, this was the most sought after hairstyle in all hair salons. After World War II, Keune specialized in professional hairdressing products ranging from shampoo to hairspray. Around 1968, a new product (hair foam) was created without which most people today cannot make a permanent haircut. Jan Keune’s son, Mr. George Keune, patented hair foam in 1976. 1995 Keune moves to a new, modern facility in Soeste. Employs disabled people (mentally handicapped) among others. They come to work every day and work on product packaging. They work on a special moving conveyor belt, which is supervised and the only ones in the company do not have the norm – not to be stressed. They do the best they can at their own pace. The 2009 recession was present in many European countries. Keune Haircosmetics’ new headquarters then opened in Paris and shortly after in Atlanta. George Keune then said the famous words: “I remembered my gardener. There may be a crisis in the world, but I have not. The grass will always grow and someone has to cut it. ” This is true of the Keune company. Hair will always grow and someone will always have to cut their hair.
