The notion of exotics with a location in the far southeast of Asia, Hong Kong is a respite on the road to Australia and a discovery worth visiting. A visit to Lantau Island with a huge statue of the aptly named Big Buddha and the Po Lin Shrine is mandatory. An exciting return to the city bustle with the new Ngong Ping Cable Car (5km long). The cable car boasts fantastic views of the city harbor and the tall skyscrapers around.
For the night out, Lan Kwai Fong – a block of streets with bars, cafes and shops – is open. At midnight you can look for a well-known foot massage using reflexology and skilled masseuse hands.
