1986 French physician Alain Dubois registered his diet program. The basic principles of this diet are not calorie counting, food weighing, detailed and fixed menus, or special recipes. The essence of a chronological diet is the interval between meals, the timing of meals, and the proper choice and consumption of food at a certain time of day. The Chrono diet monitors the glycemic index of food (how fast blood sugar rises after eating) and the acid-base balance (whether food has an acidic or basic effect on the body and digestive path). If there is an imbalance between the acid-base equilibrium, problems with digestion of the food, sour intestines and other intestinal problems occur.
Today, there are over 23,000 different foods in the world. More than 30% of food is produced than the amount the world really needs. Chrono nutrition can be applied to all ages and every age opportunity.
At certain times of the day, the human body secretes certain hormones and enzymes that digest the foods we eat. You make the most of it. Chrono diet follows daily body biorhythm. When the glands that secrete hormones for activity rest, we activate them. Thus, metabolism errors and early illnesses occur. Wrong food choices create an excess in the body that doctors call “metabolic waste.”
Chrono diet has 3 main meals and one snack. There is no snacking between meals. The recommended breakfast time is 8 to 10 (one hour after waking up at the latest). Lunch 4 to 6 hours after breakfast or 1pm to 3pm. Dinner is 4-6 hours after lunch or from 6pm to 8pm. A normal daily biorhythm is waking up to 8am and going to bed by midnight that day. 3 to 4 hours is a spread between meals to digest the food we eat. Insulin levels should reach three maxima after breakfast, lunch and dinner. Insulin levels decrease an hour after a meal. In about an hour the insulin level should reach normal. If we eat snacks between meals the insulin level is always above normal or the fat cells store fat that is not consumed.
In 2003, Dr. Ana Gifing patented a chrono diet program. In the world today, a lot of people are opting for a chronological diet.
