Foods that help the liver work normally

The liver is an important organ in the human body. Due to the fact that we eat too much fried and processed food and are surrounded by environmental pollution and stress, the liver works harder in these conditions. The liver is then unable to efficiently process toxins and fats. Fortunately, there are plenty of foods that cleanse the liver by improving its ability to remove toxins from the body. Experts say that proper nutrition is most important for a healthy liver and a healthy body. That is why it is important to include these foods in your daily diet.
Dandelion-dandelion’s root is great for making tea that helps the liver break down fats. Dandelion’s root tea helps produce amino acids essential for the detoxification process.
Apples – contain high levels of pectin and other chemicals that promote proper liver function and cleansing the body.
Cereals-Ordinary cereals (e.g. wheat) contain gluten which is difficult to digest. A lot of people are allergic to gluten. Therefore, quinoa, buckwheat and millet are recommended as substitute foods.
Avocado is an excellent source of nutrients. It contains glutathione which helps the liver to remove toxins from the body.
Beets and carrots – another great source of glutathione. They are rich in flavonoides and beta-carotene which help liver health.
Broccoli-rich source of sulfur and antioxidant glucosinolate. Both of these substances stimulate the liver to produce enzymes. Enzymes prevent damage caused by toxins.
Cabbage-facilitates the production of essential substances that stimulate the production of enzymes for detoxification.
Citruses (especially lemon and lime) – contain a lot of vitamin C, which stimulates the liver. It converts toxins into substances that dissolve more easily in water.
Garlic – a great source of sulfur, alicyl and selenium that work to cleanse the liver of toxins.
Grapefruit is an excellent source of glutathione, vitamin C and antioxidants. Together, they stimulate the production of enzymes that release toxins (including carcinogenic toxins) from the body.
