We live in interesting and challenging times. Today, more than ever, we all need a special holiday atmosphere and magic. Lamps, pine decorations, ornate and glowing pines, the scent of cinnamon and vanilla warm hearts and bring joy to these gloomy times. They say that winter is perhaps the most beautiful time of the year because the outdoor and indoor spaces are decorated, sparkling and unusually beautiful. One of the most desirable decorations for years are nuts. This wooden decorative soldier has also become an indispensable Christmas decoration.

Lemax Christmas Village “Ludwig’s Wooden Nutcracker Factory” Review, New for 2019
This wooden figure is a nutcracker. It’s called “Christmas Nutcracker.” The wooden military was originally made in the 17th century in Germany. In Germany, it is a symbol of happiness that drives away evil spirits. Almost all wooden soldiers created before the first half of the 20th century are functional. This means that they were used as nut crushers. Today, a large part of the figures serves only as decoration. https://www.lemaxcollection.com/

The wooden soldier or walnut crusher gained world popularity only after the adaptation of the story “The Nutcracker and the King of Mice” (German author E. T. A. Hoffmann), into the most famous ballet performance composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. As this ballet performance became the most watched performance in the world during the holidays, so wooden soldiers became part of the permanent display of Christmas decorations in homes, cities and shops. Today, they are made of wood in various sizes and with various additional decorations. The original purpose (walnut crusher) remained the same.
