The ancient Eastern philosophy of Feng Shui believes that mental and physical disorder contains stagnant and stagnant energy. The mess causes stress, fatigue, depression or illness in every home. This negative energy inhibits, slows down and blocks the flow of healthy and positive energy (Chia). This affects the lives of people and the lives of family members. With appropriate cleaning rituals and techniques, you can clean your home or business space or the space where you stay the most and renew your personal energy. Each person should devote himself to the maximum and engage in any kind of clutter to achieve overall cleanliness and bring things in order. The flow of positive energy in a space is maintaining order which is a fundamental fact of Feng Shui skill. Space (or home) is a living being according to Feng Shui philosophy. If you regularly maintain, clean, arrange and energize the space where you live and work, you will open the door to positive energy and improvement in all areas of life.
Feng Shui principles of cleansing have four stages:
- Cleaning up physical disorder in the immediate vicinity of an individual (eg garbage in the approach to a building, unmaintained facade, neglected lawns, dilapidated buildings in the area) – human responsibility is far beyond the walls that limit only living (residential) space. Every person should be maximally committed to the living environment – consult with family / neighbors about the possibilities of restoring a dilapidated facade, bad pipes and installations in the house or building. There are usually funds in the housing reserve for these jobs. Funds are usually unused due to lack of interest or negligence. Organize (together with family / neighbors) a home or staircase painting action (in shared apartment buildings). You can place posters or pictures of bright life motifs on the walls. If the house / building has an entrance hall or lawn, you can arrange a small garden. The idea is progressing. It takes a little good will. There is another beautiful dimension hidden in this whole process – the neighbors will no longer be strangers.
- Cleaning up physical clutter in your own space (e.g., scattered things, dust, cobwebs, too much furniture, things off shelves and closets…) – Put in trash cans, give away or sell any items you haven’t used in the last 6 months. You don’t really need these items. Clean and organize closets, shelves and storage. Every item should have its place. Although every idea of general cleaning is sometimes strenuous — in the end all the effort and work will pay off. When removing clutter, try not to perform all actions automatically. Turn on your consciousness and all your senses. Observe how you feel and what moods you are going through.
- Clearing emotional clutter (e.g., unspoken objections, unresolved relationships, seeking (and shifting) guilt in others, emotional manipulation) —the only person we can change is ourselves. Resolve disagreements by focusing on the solution instead of the problem. Find compromises. Accept responsibility for your actions and consequences. Forgive those who owe you something. Repay your debts and reconcile with old friends. If you have unresolved relationships with people who are no longer alive, you can address them mentally with an apology, explanation or simply – a call for reconciliation. Also, if you cannot contact some people in person, you can write them a letter or email in which you will write how you feel and what you want to deal with them. It doesn’t matter at all whether you send that letter or not, but dealing with your own emotional clutter is extremely important for good feng shui. Cleansing emotional clutter is probably the biggest and most difficult step in the cleansing process, but it is truly necessary. It is impossible to move on if thousands of ancient emotions press us and take us back to the past.
- Energy cleaning and energization (eg removal of energy from previous occupants, energy sediment in walls, floors, ceilings and furniture).
