
People from year to year spend more time using social networks. The main reason is the greater use of smartphones and the availability of cheap mobile internet. You can often notice that people are looking down at smartphones and spinning social networks. Mobile phone addiction is getting bigger. Today we can call the cell phone an additional organ of the human body without which many people cannot live. The use of the thumb until a few years ago was much less. The main reason for the increase in the use of the thumb are mobile phones.
2012- people spent “only” 1 hour and 30 minutes a day using social media
2013- people spent 5 minutes more time than 2012 (more precisely one hour and 35 minutes)
2014- time on the internet rises again to 1 hour and 41 minutes
2015- people spent 1 hour and 49 minutes online
2016- the number of daily use of social networks and applications for sending messages grows to 2 hours and 6 minutes In
2017- people spent an average of 2 hours and 15 minutes a day
2018- people spent 2 hours and 22 minutes online
2019- the average is 2 hours and 23 minutes.
About 3 billion and 480 million people use social networks. That’s about 45% of the world’s population. 60% of people are connected to social networks on a daily basis. 98% of people have used social networks in the last month.
