The Dutch chocolate brand is eradicating slavery in the chocolate industry
More than two-thirds of the world’s cocoa is produced in Africa. The Ivory Coast produces 33% of the world’s reserves.
Chocolate has been a beverage throughout as much as 90% of its own history. It has only become a dessert the last 10% of the time.

The Dutch brand “Tony’s chocolate” wants to create a world in which chocolate production is transparent. The goal of this brand is to raise public awareness about the problem of slavery in the chocolate industry. They want to be an example to others and act inspiring. Tony’s cholocate uses a cocoa bean (for chocolate production) whose origin is transparent. They pay more than the market price for cocoa beans. They cooperate with farmers for a long time. So they support quality and productivity. The chocolate bar is not divided into symmetrical cubes but into unequal parts. So this Dutch brand shows the story of inequality. These chocolates are currently available in 5 different combinations. They do not leave a bitter taste in the mouth. The mission of this chocolate brand is to eradicate slavery in the global chocolate industry.
