
- Spelta is an ancient cereal and a healthy variant instead of refined carbohydrates. The beneficial grains of this cereal help glycoregulation and reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases.
- Cook larger amounts of spelta. Then freeze the cooked web in small bowls. Use later as needed.
- Soak the spelta grains in water. Leave overnight. Pour new water into the bean pot. Then the cereal cooks faster.
- Always pour twice as much water into the bowl as the cereal grains. Cook half-covered in a pan for 30-40 minutes. Cook the extras until the cereal grains are completely softened.
- From this cereal a dough can be made. Spelta flour is light and can always be combined with some dark flour (for example rye flour is darker in color). It can be used as an addition to burgers, salads, stews and soups.
