When the body has sufficient amounts of vitamin D, these amounts are more easily bound to calcium and prevent osteoporosis. Vitamin D destroys all cells or causes of various diseases that have entered the human body. Vitamin D deficiency weakens the body – say scientific and medical research. In winter, sunlight is weaker and it is estimated that about 80% of people then are deficient in this vitamin. People simply do not stay outdoors for a long time in winter and therefore do not use the weak winter sunlight enough. Taking vitamin D with food during the winter months is not enough. It is also believed that people with darker skin tones have naturally better protection from UV radiation, which produces less vitamin D. Director of Traditional European Medicine Dr. Sebastian Kneipp said: staying outdoor, regular walks and any exposure to natural light, cold, heat, rain, snow, dew and wind strengthens immunity and nourishes the body with vitamins including vitamin D.

The defect is easily, safely and quickly determined according to the blood findings. The cut-off values ​​are about 50 nmol / l (or 20ng / ml) in the blood. Critical vitamin D deficiency is suggested by values ​​below 25 nmol / l (or 10 ng / ml). A person who has a normal value of vitamin D in the blood should not take this vitamin. A person who is deficient in vitamin D in the blood (or values ​​below normal) should first of all spend enough time in the fresh air and open space and daylight and use a vitamin D supplement.
