3 types of mushrooms that have miraculous power even for healing
The healing properties of the plants are known throughout the world. Nowadays, 2/5 of medicines are obtained from medicinal plants. Less is known about the healing properties of mushrooms, although people around the world have long used many mushrooms in food and cuisine. Today there is a special field of medicine called fungotherapy (Latin fungi = mushrooms) which studies the properties of mushrooms and their healing properties. Mushrooms, however, are traditionally used for medicinal purposes in Eastern countries and mushrooms are one of the key components of traditional medicine. There was no serious interest in mushrooms in Western countries until the 20th century. Then, thanks to the fungus from the Penicilium family, the era of antibiotics in medicine began. Then fungotherapy begins to develop better and more and flourishes.
Today, testing of the healing properties of mushrooms takes place in laboratories around the world (Japan, USA, Russia, China and other countries). All research shows that the introduction of such mushrooms in the diet helps in the fight against more serious diseases (asthma, diabetes, cancer and others). Mushrooms: shitake, reishi and cordiceps stand out for their useful properties.
Cordyceps-together with ginseng and young deer antlers (so-called “panti”), this mushroom belongs to the “three pearls of Eastern medicine”. It grows in Chinese Tibet at an altitude of about 4000 meters in ecologically clean regions where there are no people. Cordyceps has been considered the most useful food growing on earth in the East for centuries. This fungus contains a large amount of substances useful for human health: beta-carotene (pro-vitamin A), vitamins E and C, selenium, zinc, a total of 77 micro and macro elements, more than 80 types of enzymes (among them coenzyme Q10), irreplaceable amino acids, unsaturated fatty acids and a universal polysaccharide complex. Due to the immuno-modulatory properties of polysaccharides, this fungus is a natural immuno-modulator (which strengthens the immune system and helps the body fight disease). Cordyceps has the ability to expel toxins from the body, drug compounds, radionuclides, heavy metal salts. This mushroom is an excellent antioxidant because it destroys free radicals. It also has an anti-allergy effect. This fungus is a strong natural antibiotic, preventing the spread of bacteria and viruses (including the flu virus), hepatitis and herpes. Cordyceps have been found to stop the rapid spread of tumors and increase the body’s activity after destroying cancer cells.
Reishi is a mushroom that grows on roots and trees. It is grown exclusively for medical reasons. The peoples of Southeast Asia have been using resihi for over 2,000 years. It is used in the treatment of bronchial asthma, gastritis, neurasthenia, liver disease, etc. Intensive research of this fungus in the last ten years shows that biologically active substances (contained in the fungus) have immuno-modulatory, anti-inflammatory, antilaergic and antioxidant effects. They are effective against viruses and tumors. This fungus can regulate the work of the cardiovascular system, as well as the respiratory and nervous systems. Reishi is both a tonic and an adaptogenic preparation. It strengthens the body’s strength as a tonic preparation and increases the body’s resistance to stress as an adaptogenic preparation. Neutralizes the negative effects of stress.
Shitake – are very tasty mushrooms with a characteristic aroma. These are nutritious mushrooms and also highly valued in pharmacy. These mushrooms are originally from the People’s Republic of China where they have been grown for thousands of years. Some documents confirm that wild shiitake mushrooms were cultivated as early as the 2nd century AD. During the formation of the Chinese Ming Dynasty, these mushrooms were used to treat diseases of the upper respiratory organs, poor circulation, liver disease, exhaustion and weakness, and to increase vitality. Fungi were thought to prevent premature aging. Shiitake mushrooms contain a large amount of plant proteins and amino acids necessary for the human body. It contains B vitamins (B1, B2, B12). They prevent anemia, strengthen nerve function, are used in the prevention of catarrh (inflammatory process of the mucous membrane of an organ in the body) and dermatitis. They have the ability to lower blood cholesterol levels, which is important for cardiovascular diseases and high blood pressure.
Medicinal products with mushrooms help millions of people in the fight against chronic diseases. The widespread use of medicinal mushrooms in prevention and treatment allows people to improve their quality of life, improve their health and maintain good health for many years.
