One of the mechanisms of action includes the antiproliferative character of xanoton (stops the progression and growth of tumors). Alpha mangosteen also promotes apoptosis, ie cell death of tumor cells. The synergistic action of xanthones and chemotherapeutic agents is interesting, with the action of natural killer cells (NK cells) in charge of attacking and removing tumor cells. Based on this knowledge, experts suggest the use of xanthones in preventing the appearance of tumors, and in the case of existing diseases, they suggest the simultaneous use of xanthones and chemotherapy.

Papaya-American researchers have shown that papaya powder shows anticancer effects against a wide range of tumors. Thus, they confirmed the accuracy of many existing beliefs. Researcher from the University of Florida ( ) Nam Dang and his colleagues from Japan documented the antitumor effect of papaya on numerous examples (cervix, breast, liver, lungs and pancreas) published in the scientific “Journal of Ethnopharmacology”.
