5 light exercises to strengthen the lungs at home
Lung diseases disappear, the chest expands, the blood flow function strengthens and the volume of the lungs increases thanks to daily training. In addition, blood vessels become more elastic. The result is a reduction in the risk of developing diseases of the vascular system. These light exercises can be done at home. Lung training is especially important for people with chronic diseases (pneumonia, bronchitis, bronchial asthma) and for frequent inflammatory conditions of respiratory diseases. Exercises can be done several times a day for 2 to 3 minutes, but after consulting a doctor. Exercises are performed to prevent and treat respiratory diseases.

  1. Storm in a glass – fill the glass with water to the brim. Insert the straw. The thinner the straw, the harder it is, but the exercise will have a better effect. Take a deep breath through your nose and also exhale through your mouth on a straw. Water should bubble intensely.
  2. Air Ball – Inflate the air ball slowly so as not to cause dizziness. Then blow out the ball and inflate it again slightly.
  3. The player on the rudder-musical instruments are great trainers. These can be flute, fife and mouth organ (small mouth harmonica). A person can simply whistle if they do not have one of these musical instruments.
  4. Shadow Fight – Hit the punching bag if you have a punching bag. Hit as long as possible without a break at a fast pace. Have a “shadow fight” if you don’t have a punching bag. Hit the air with your hands and feet. At the same time, you try to move constantly, gradually accelerating the pace. Train for half an hour a day.
  5. Collected fists – a good recommendation is an exercise to expand the chest. Stand in an upright position and inhale the air through your nose with full lungs. Hold your breath, gather your fists and throw both hands forward. Then throw your arms back in one motion, exhaling strongly through your open mouth. Gather your fists and tense your arm muscles. For the lungs, it is also useful for a person to swim, dance, run in the fresh air if there are no contraindications.
