Your mouth reveals 6 health problems
Every person can learn a lot about health if he pays attention to his mouth.
- Bad breath – liver diseases – if you have brushed your teeth and mouth and still have bad breath, this can mean stomach problems, poor digestion and liver diseases.
- Yellow teeth – a large number of drugs are associated with yellow teeth. This includes antibiotics, liquid mouthwashes and medicines for high blood pressure.
- Dry mouth-diabetes – although dry mouth is usually a sign of dehydration or the result of alcohol and cigarette consumption – a lack of saliva can still be an early sign of diabetes.
- Ulcer-cancer of the mouth-although it is common for people to have ulcers in the mouth when the immune system declines, it is dangerous for the ulcer to remain for a long time. This should be checked with a medical examination. Every year, about 30,000 people get mouth cancer.
- Bleeding gums and around the teeth – this happens during brushing or after (like bad breath) – can be a sign of gingivitis or an inflammatory condition of the gums around the teeth.
