Scientists from Srinakharinwirot University (Thailand) found that kukruma can prevent the development of the disease in people with an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The research was conducted in 2016 with 240 adults from Thailand who had a pre-diabetic condition. Research has shown that turmeric improves the function of beta-cells in the pancreas to secrete the hormone insulin (blood sugar regulator). Another trial was conducted in China. It included patients with type 2 diabetes. It showed the following results: patients who took turmeric for 3 months had a significant drop in blood glucose levels, a reduction in insulin resistance. This spice has the ability to alleviate inflammatory conditions as a consequence of diabetes. Turmeric is an excellent source of energy.

This spice mix will especially appeal to all lovers of aromatic herbs and dishes with spices. Dry all the herbs beforehand. Grind the turmeric into a powder. The mixture is a great addition to soups, risotto, goulash, but also stewed vegetables, tofu and seitan.
Mix one tablespoon of dried oregano, dried thyme leaves, dried tarragon, dried marjoram, turmeric powder and sea salt. Grind all the ingredients coarsely. Pour into a glass jar. Herbs can be crushed by hand and then add turmeric powder. Mix everything well with a wooden spoon.
