Be careful with plastic cups, creams and masks, because this is how we introduce microplastics into the body every day
We often buy the popular “coffee to go” when we don’t have time or we need a quick “wake-up” and refreshment after a tiring day outside the home. Experts measured the amount of microparticles in various types of plastic cups (during the research).
Scientists assumed that every person drinks “coffee to go” at least once a week. That person then introduces 90,000 microplastic particles a year into his own body. Doctors say that the accumulation of microparticles in the body can have a stressful effect on the human body.
Micro-plastics have the ability to penetrate the cells of many organs in the body. That’s why scientists consider micro-plastics harmful to humans if we use plastic cups too often. Scientists have (during research) found micro-plastic particles in human blood, in the placenta, liver, lungs, kidneys, heart, and even the brain. This is another proof that a person should take (and use) everything in moderation and in prescribed (adequate doses).
Microscopic pieces of plastic can reach the human body with the use of plastic cups and bottles, but from the air. Particles smaller than 100 nanometers penetrate the skin from cosmetic creams and lotions or personal hygiene products (protective medical masks).
