Turmeric is a spice that has been used for centuries even before the effect of this spice was scientifically confirmed and explained. Turmeric was originally a popular spice in India and Asian countries, but its use has spread to the rest of the world. Legend has it that turmeric was the “gold” that the wise men brought to the newlywed Jesus. Turmeric contains a large amount of antioxidants and iron, copper, zinc, manganese, potassium, vitamins C, E, K, B group vitamins, nutritious fibers and proteins. Turmeric relieves inflammation and pain and is an excellent natural antibiotic.
