People often experience fatigue, exhaustion, low mood or spring depression due to the change of seasons or excessive physical activity. Medicinal “tea from Tibet” is an excellent drink for people who often feel chronic fatigue. Chicory is an excellent stimulant that raises mental and physical energy. It strengthens and stimulates the body’s defense system. It removes chronic fatigue and prevents other diseases.
Chicory removes fears and anxiety while strengthening a person’s emotional state. It strengthens digestion and blood production in the body, thus contributing to cleansing the body of toxins (which can also have consequences on mental health).
Medicinal properties of chicory have been known since the time of the ancient Egyptians and Greeks. It was used against jaundice, liver disease, gout and rheumatism. Chicory has various applications, but “coffee substitute” is one of the most common applications.
In the 19th century, the French started growing chicory and using it as a substitute for coffee. It contains inulin, pectins, ascorbic acid, proteins, carbohydrates, bitter substances, vitamins A and C. It also contains minerals (potassium, iron, magnesium and manganese). Bitter substances (lactupirquin and lactucin) have an analgesic and sedative effect. Chicory is very medicinal due to the contained bitter substances (inulin and potassium) and is a preventive agent against many diseases.
Coffee is a caffeinated beverage that increases stress and cortisol secretion. Chicory is a healthy substitute for coffee (it has a sedative effect due to lecithin, so it calms the mind and body).
By consuming chicory, you reduce stress, restlessness, insomnia and anxiety

Preparation: take a cup that can hold 200 ml of water. Add 3 tablespoons of chicory root and one tablespoon of cocoa powder. Pour boiled water and add some sweetener (honey, stevia, etc.) according to your wishes. Drink the drink only in the morning or around lunch and never in the evening (because it easily causes bad sleep). Even pregnant women can drink the drink in small quantities.
