Blue plum (Prunus domestica) is a tree that grows from 3 to 10 meters. The leaves are oval and serrated and wrinkled at the ends. The leaves are hairy on the underside and develop at the same time as the flowers. White flowers are usually paired with short stems. The plum fruit is round oval, blue, red or yellow. The flesh of the fruit is sweet with a stone in the middle. Plum (Prunus) is of the same species as almonds, apricots, sour cherries, cherries (which as fruits have a shell in the middle).
Plums grow in gardens, on plantations and in plum orchards. There is a plum in a semi-wild form in nature.
The flowering time of the plum is from April to May. Plum is very useful in nutrition due to the abundance of vitamins, minerals, natural sugars and plant fibers. Plum contributes to improving proper nutrition because it has a natural composition that is the most biologically acceptable forms that the human body accepts. The usefulness of plums is really great.
The laxative effect of plum has a great advantage, especially for the elderly population (due to lower mobility, insufficient physical activity and diet). Fresh and dried plum has always been used as a laxative in folk medicine.
Plums should be used a lot in the diet and in all forms. Plum cleans the body, regulates digestion, stimulates liver function, removes harmful substances from the body and improves appetite.

  1. For better and normal functioning of the intestinal system, soak plums and figs in water overnight. The next day, take half a liter of milk, 3 spoons of honey, 30 grams of dried plums, figs and grapes. Mix all the ingredients by hand or with a mixer and, of course, without whisking. This is a light meal and is especially suitable in the evening.
  2. Anti-rapid heartbeat remedy – drink a glass of juice made from half a glass of plum juice, half a glass of banana juice and 0.25 dcl of lemon juice. Drink three times a day before meals for 3 to 4 months.
  3. To cleanse the liver and blood – soak 8 to 22 pieces of cleaned plums in cold water overnight. In the morning, drain the water and put it in new water and cook for 2 to 3 hours on low heat. Every hour, spill the old water and add new water. Plums will be warm and without acid and sugar. Drink this warm drink in the morning on an empty stomach. Eat the whole amount at once. The procedure lasts a week for mild liver diseases and 2 weeks for severe liver diseases.
  4. Plums are great against indigestion – soak a handful of washed plums and keep overnight. Drink juice and eat plums in the morning. An effective combination of plums and dried figs. For example, soak 5 dried figs and 5 dried plums and repeat the procedure. Drink juice in the morning and eat all fruits.
