6 solutions against insects in the house, balcony and garden (Part Two)
And people (knowing the habits of some insects) can influence the limitation of the appearance of insects (and their number in our environment) in the home, terraces and gardens, although it is difficult to completely prevent the appearance of insects.

  1. Lemon slices in the oven. cut three to four lemons in half and arrange them on the oven racks. Leave it like that overnight. The oven door should be open. The next morning, close the oven and turn it to a lower temperature for a few minutes. Then let it cool completely, and throw the lemons in the garbage.
  2. Dried coffee grounds – collect the coffee grounds and place them on aluminum foil. Place the aluminum foil on a plate. Place the plate (with foil and coffee grounds) in a cool and dry place. Wait until the grounds are completely dry. Place the foil with the dry coffee grounds on a flat surface outdoors (for example, a table). Make sure that animals or children do not have access to the area. Light the residue with a match until it starts to smoke. The residue will burn slowly, and the smoke that will be created will drive away insects and mosquitoes.
  3. Another way is to shape the sediment lengthwise, like gunpowder. Light the residue at one end and it will burn gently. This simple trick works great.
  4. Coffee grounds will repel ants and mosquitoes – apart from mosquitoes, you can also repel ants with coffee grounds. Sprinkle ground coffee (or grounds) on places where you have problems with ants. The problem will be solved.
  5. A solution against unbearable mosquitoes (and other insects) in the garden, i.e. outdoors – This is an incredible trap for mosquitoes, but also for other irritating insects. First, you will need 2 empty plastic bottles with a volume of 1.5 liters and one with a volume of 5 liters. smaller bottles should be cut to a length of about 15 cm, the rest of the bottle (bottom) is not needed. Plugs are also not required. Then, on the 5-liter bottle, one hole should be drilled on two sides, which correspond to the neck of the smaller bottles. Then the cut bottles are pushed through the holes into the large bottle and fixed with glue. You got a mosquito trap, and now you need to do the main thing that will attract mosquitoes. Pour about 300 ml of water into a large bottle. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar, a packet of dry yeast. Combine everything well. Carbon dioxide (released by this mixture) will attract mosquitoes like a magnet, they will fly into the trap and die there.
  6. It is recommended to make several traps if the yard is large. If you live in a smaller apartment and only have a terrace, then one trap will be enough.
