Recipes for homemade fruit oil and rosehip petals
Rosehip oil is a universal preparation in the home pharmacy. It softens and soothes the skin and solves many health problems. Rosehip oil is used for cosmetic purposes.
- Rosehip Fruit Oil – Chop dried rosehip fruits in an electric coffee grinder or wooden oven with a pestle. Pour a quarter of a tablespoon of the mixture with three-quarters of a cup of olive oil. Place the mixture in a glass jar. Close the jar tightly and keep in a dark and cool place for 14 days. After that, boil the liquid and steam it immediately. Keep the obtained medicinal oil in the refrigerator. This oil is useful for wounds, cracked skin, pressure ulcers, scratches. Lubricate the injured part of the skin two to three times a day until it heals. The oil can be used for compresses. Soak the gauze with oil and keep it on the affected area for an hour. In case of sneezing, drip one to two drops into each nostril. The oil is useful for stomatitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis (inflammatory condition of the oral mucosa, canker sores, herpes, inflammatory condition of the throat and pharynx). Mix 30 drops of oil with half a glass of warm water and half a spoon of baking soda. Rinse throat and mouth 4 to 6 times a day with the resulting solution.
- Petal oil – used only for cosmetic purposes. Fill a one-liter jar with fresh rosehip petals up to 2/3 of its volume. Drizzle with olive or sunflower oil to the top of the jar. Close tightly and keep for 14 days in a dark and cool place. Shake daily. Keep the jar with the obtained preparation in the refrigerator after the 14-day period. In case of dry skin and add oil to ordinary face cream in a ratio of 1: 1. Or in a bath, let the water temperature be 38 to 39 degrees C. The bath lasts up to 15 minutes. Mix one tablespoon of oil with half a liter of warm water, one tablespoon of salt and half a tablespoon of baking soda.
