Kidney health also depends on the health of the entire urinary system. Medicinal plants are very useful in preserving healthy kidneys, preventing the development of cystitis, kidney stones, and the occurrence of infectious diseases of the kidneys and urinary system.

  1. Watermelon (and other species from the pumpkin family) are very useful for the kidneys. It is recommended that an adult eat up to a kilogram of watermelon pulp per day. Watermelon is best eaten in the evening, ie before going to bed (because the urine then becomes more concentrated). Measure a kilogram of the pulp (it’s the red part of the watermelon) and divide it into equal parts that you will eat over the course of 24 hours. Auxiliary medicinal therapy lasts 21 days and includes the daily consumption of watermelon pulp. Watermelon is a mild diuretic agent that washes the urinary tract very well. Watermelon does not allow microbes to grow stronger in the urinary system, it removes inflammatory conditions and swelling naturally.
  2. Melon is especially recommended for elderly people who have recurring cystitis. It is advisable to eat up to 600 mg of melon daily, divided into 3 to 5 smaller portions. Auxiliary medicinal therapy lasts 14 days with daily and regular consumption of melon. Melon pulp is rich in diuretic and antimicrobial effects. Prevents inflammatory conditions. It has a beneficial effect on the kidneys. Melon has the ability to prevent relapses.
  3. Introduce fresh pumpkin and pumpkin juice into your diet if you have chronic cystitis and pyelonephritis. Drink a mixture of 150 ml of fresh pumpkin juice with one tablespoon of pumpkin oil every day. This drink contributes to reducing the strength and frequency of relapses. Eat daily 100 mg of fresh pumpkin pulp three times a day and with the addition of vegetable oil – if the condition worsens. The therapy lasts 14 days. Pumpkin is eaten both as a preventive measure and to prevent the recurrence of the disease.
  4. Dry and fresh figs are used for medicinal purposes. Fig is suitable for children and adults who have pyelonephritis and glomerulonephritis. Medicinal liquid with figs and milk is useful due to the abundance of medicinal and healing ingredients. Pour 120 mg of dried figs with 500 ml of milk. Cook until boiling point and another 10 minutes on low heat. Take a warm drink of 100 ml to 150 ml per day. Fig fruits and juice are used for inflammatory conditions of the kidneys. They dissolve and expel sand and smaller stones from the kidneys. They improve the work of the urinary system.
  5. Blueberry juice stimulates kidney cleansing, prevents the growth of microbes in the urethra and urinary bladder. Blueberry is rich in pronounced antimicrobial properties. Prevents infectious diseases of the kidneys and urinary system. The juice is used daily 150 ml once or twice a day for 14 days. Tea is drunk for prevention and treatment.
